"Mother of All Crashes" by the 2nd week of November

Just in from Road To Roota (an apocalyptic optimist, like me. Emphasis mine):

I have had many, many emails asking "Where are we?" when it comes to the battle to remove the banking cabal and reinstate a Gold Standard. I usually reserve my "play by play" for Private Road Members but everything has heated up, obviously,  since early August so here's a few things:

 

As I discuss in the TIME LINE article the US Administration spin machine has been told to "stand down" by the good guys. All that "happy talk" from the likes of Geithner, Summers and Goolsbee has now turned to warnings that there may be bumps on the road to recovery. The rigged data coming out of "government orifices" has stated to turn sour. This is all on purpose as they can, and do, make up any numbers they want.

 

The Mainstream Media has had an almost total blackout on what continues to go on in the Gulf of Mexico. Things get much worse by the day as "fish kills" continue and the "blue flu" is spreading throughout the region. I continue to warn people to get out of the area as the long term effects of being exposed to that toxic swamp WILL seriously harm you...if not today definitely in the very near future.

 

Be prepared for massive market chaos! Watch for computers to be the suspected cause of  market failures and the breakdown of our financial system. We are currently being prepped for the crash and computer trading programs run by banks and hedge funds will take a large portion of the blame. I find that very interesting as it was Alan Greenspan's original computer programs that created much of this mess in the first place.

 

As far as timing...things are happening now! A lot of the action is not visible to the Sheeple but it soon will be. The real action should become visible to all by the end of September with the "Mother of All Crashes" taking place around the second week of November.

The Obama administration, fresh off a victory in persuading federal judges to dismiss a torture case for fear of revealing state secrets, is divided over using similar tactics to try to block a lawsuit over government efforts to kill an American citizen accused of ties to Al Qaeda.

Here's the really odious part:

There is widespread agreement among the administration’s legal team that it is lawful for President Obama to authorize the killing of someone like Mr. Awlaki — regardless of his citizenship — if he is found in an ungoverned place or in a country that grants permission. (The details of any arrangement with Yemen are unclear.)

Think about that for a moment: "or in a country that grants permission." The precedent this will set is terrible. Any citizen can be killed if the host country that person is living in says so.
Anyone, absolutely anyone, can be targeted in their minds.

With 45mn Americans officially designated as poor, the US census figures reflect the worst decline in living standards for more than half a century.
Child poverty also increased last year to more than one in five. That compares to one in three children in developing African nations.
...The American government sets the poverty line at £14,000 a year for a family of four.
The census report shows that about 15% of Americans earned less than that last year, up from 13.2% in 2008. It was the highest single-year-increase since the government began calculating percentages of poor in 1959. The previous high was in 1980, when the rate jumped 1.3 points to 13% during the energy crisis.

If you think this situation is going to be changed by giving massive tax cuts to rich fucks who will squirrel it away in offshore accounts, go right ahead and vote Republican.

If you think it's going to be changed by too-little-to-late "stimulus" measures proposed by rich fucks who robbed you of universal healthcare to line other rich fucks' offshore bank accounts, go right ahead and vote Democrat.

The reaction in rich fuck circles?

"My guess is that politically these figures will be greeted with alarm and dismay but they won't constitute a clarion call to action," said William Galston, a domestic policy aide for President Bill Clinton. "I hope the parties don't blame each other for the desperate circumstances of desperate people. That would be wrong in my opinion. But that's not to say it won't happen."
Lawrence M. Mead, a New York University political science professor who is a conservative and wrote "The New Politics of Poverty: The Nonworking Poor in America," argued that the figures will have a minimal impact in November.
"Poverty is not as big an issue right now as middle-class unemployment. That's a lot more salient politically right now," he said.

What's the third choice again?

This is why the largest non-voting demographic is the poor. In 2004, for example, the national median income was $35,100 p.a. yet the median income of the electorate was $55,300 - a difference of 57.5%. Consider that although Bush gained 52% of the electorate, he only got 34% of all the possible votes.

That means there is a huge potential constituency out there, between 25% and 30% of the potential electorate, who don't vote - and they don't vote simply because neither major party gives a fuck about them!

Illegal drugs use and guns sales way up, while violent crime declined.


My 2c: violent crime declined because illegal drugs are way too cheaper lately, (so there is less need to commit serious crimes to get high), while gun sales data just prove that they are not positively related to violent crime.

Speaking Of Eunuchs, Tim Geithner Fires More Blanks At China

Just in from The Golden Truth:


As a follow-up to yesterday's post, I wake up to this headline on Bloomberg News: "Geithner Says U.S. Examining Ways to Push China on Yuan Rise"  You've got to be kidding me.  Let's see, if I'm China and I'm facing someone like Tim Geithner making an attempt to force-feed me financial policy, I'd say "bring it on, eunich."  A serial tax-cheater sitting on top of the world's largest amount of Government debt, a large part of which is financed by those whom Geithner attacks, issued by a corrupted, ponzi-scheme system in collapse...If I were the Chinese, I would send Geithner a little note wrapped around some medical marijuana that said "smoke a little more of this with your boss."


Talk about the "emperor has no clothes" syndrome.  I'm not really sure where the U.S. has any leverage to enforce its will anymore on the rest of the world.  Especially upon those - China - who have been enabling the U.S. Government to continue digging the hole for its own coffin by recycling paper trade dollars back into the financial heroin of Treasury debt to which this country is addicted.

(Sanity might prevail): A new poll indicates that only one in four Americans say they trust the government

Washington (CNN) – A new poll indicates that only one in four Americans say they trust the government to do what is right always or most of the time, one explanation for the anti-incumbent sentiment in the country today.

According to CNN/Opinion Research Corporation national survey released Tuesday, 25 percent of the public indicates that they trust the government in Washington to do what's is right most or all of the time, with 66 percent saying they trust the government to do what's right only some of the time and eight percent saying they never trust the government. [count me in the 8%!]

"That lack of trust in government is not a recent phenomenon - except for a brief spike fueled by patriotism immediately after 9/11, a majority have not trusted the government since the early 1970s," says CNN Polling Director Keating Holland.

But the recession appears to have made matters worse.

"Ten years ago, roughly four in ten said they trusted the government always or most of the time; that number dropped to the mid-to-low 30's in the middle part of the decade, but then dropped to the 20s in 2008, where it has stayed ever since. The all-time low in CNN polls was in the summer of 1994 - just before Newt Gingrich led the GOP to take control on Capitol Hill - when only 17 percent said they trusted the government most or all of the time," adds Holland.

The survey indicates a partisan divide, with Democrats expressing more trust in the government, but even among Democrats, only four in ten express that level of trust in government.

The CNN/Opinion Research Corporation poll was conducted September 1-2, with 1,024 adult Americans questioned by telephone. The survey's overall sampling error is plus or minus three percentage points.
