US, Pak officials deliberately overlook the deaths of civilians in CIA’s drone attacks

ISLAMABAD - The United States and Pakistani officials are deliberately overlooking the deaths of civilians that outnumber the militants’ killings in CIA’s drone attacks and last November was the third deadliest month regarding drone hits, says a report.

The monthly report of Conflict Monitoring Centre (CMC) released last week reveals that November saw 15 drone strikes in North Waziristan, killing 84 people including a high number of civilians. Despite these massive-scale drone strikes, no top ranked militant was targeted. The months of September and October had witnessed 23 and 21 drone strikes respectively. Over 400 casualties have been reported during the last three months, the report says. Of these 84 casualties, 15 were reportedly foreigners and 69 were locals. The foreigners included 5 Uzbek nationals.

The nationalities of other foreigners are not known. Also, it could not be ascertained if the Uzbek nationals killed in the drone hits were members of the Islamic Movement of Uzbekistan.

Exposing the covert collusion of US and Pakistan’s top brass regarding the reckless drone attacks in NWA, the document underscores that civilian deaths were greater in number compared to those of militants. "Our research observed that intelligence officials of US and Pakistan deliberately overlook civilian fatalities and relay only censored accounts to Western media organisations. However, study reports suggest that the civilian casualties generally outnumber the killings of militants in drone attacks."

The Brooking Institute revealed last year that drones killed an average of ten civilians to one militant.

"No high-value target was either killed or injured in drone attacks during the month, only a local militant commander, namely Mustafa, was killed in the attack on November 21," the document reports.

Palestinian prisoners at Israeli jail

Issa Qaraqe’e, the Palestinian Minister of Detainee Affairs, revealed that Israeli soldiers urinated on two Palestinian minors who they had kidnapped, then jailed, forced to drink urine from a toilet, tortured and filmed while they were completely naked.

Minister Qaraq’e said that lawyer Hibah Masalhah visited the kids Mohammed Tariq Abed El-Latif Mekhemar, 13 years old, and Mohammad Naser Ali Ridwan, 13 years old, at the Rimonim prison. After her visit she stated that the Israeli occupation soldiers had forced both kids, Mekhemar and Radwan, residents of Beit Ur in the district of Ramallah, to drink the urine from the toilet. The soldiers then urinated on their faces while laughing and mocking them, another soldier shot pictures of the kids while they were naked.

Attorney Masalhah who met the kids in the Rimonim prison added that the children were arrested by the “Israeli border police” (an IDF unit of criminals and drugs dealers who are mostly Druze) near the apartheid wall in the village of Beit Ur (where they live) on Route No. 443, in July 2010. The IDF soldiers beat the children harshly, using guns and kicking them with their military boots on all over their bodies, then covered their eyes, tied them up and transferred them to a jewish colony near the village of Beit Ur. Masalhah said that the IDF soldiers took the children to a toilet and placed them naked in one room and put the air conditioner on cold.

The children told their lawyer Masalhah that the IDF soldier did not give them water and food, and when they asked for water, the IDF urinated over their faces and ordered them to open their mouths to drink. They then forced them to drink the water in the toilet seat and took some pictures.

The children spent two days naked in the toilet room at the squatter colony without food and water and they forced repeatedly to drink urine during their staying. They were forbidden from sleeping or putting their clothes on.

On the third day, the kids were transferred from the toilet at the “Benjamina” colony (Beit Il military base) where they were interrogated from 10 at night until 3 in the morning and after that they were transferred to the Ofer military jail, where they spent three months before being transferred to the Rimonim jail.

The lawyer stated that the children are suffering deep psychological stress due drinking the urine of the IDF and being filmed naked while the soldier were urinating over their faces and bodies.

It should be noted that many stories have been released in the past about IDF soldiers forcing Palestinian youths to drink their urine. In Hebron, the IDF soldiers stationed on Palestinian rooftops were urinating and dropping their feces in water tanks. Several families were infected with typhoid as a result; I know personally from the Jaber and Abu Monshar families which were infected with typhoid after drinking water contaminated with IDF feces and urine, and many more cases were related to me.

This disgusting story is not an isolated incident. 15 years ago, 10 years ago, 8 years ago I reported about such incidents in Hebron. I was told in Hebron stories where soldiers would take the sandwiches from children going to school or from workers and return them with after having shat into them. Others have reported about similar stories from all over Palestine. When they israel destroyed Jenin in 2002, the soldiers defecated and urinated into photocopiers, printers, computers, such behavior is also known from house invasions and the destruction of public and private premises throughout Palestine. Most of the squatter colonies release their untreated waste water onto Palestinian fields and villages what has as a result that the groundwater is contaminated in most of the West Bank. These disgusting stories repeat so often that it becomes obvious that drinking urine and eating feces is an important part of jewish culture. Where did these israeli soldiers, who are all boys and girls from jewish families, learn to defecate into water tanks, into office equipment, on food, learn this, if not at home, where the culture is jewish? Why would all the squatter colonies let their waste water run untreated onto Palestinian villages and fields if it was not their culture to swim in fecal matter?

Israel espouses jewish customs and heritage, and obviously all these European jews want to teach us their culture, their custom of swimming in fecal matter, of eating feces and drinking urine. I can only say that all Palestinians find this jewish culture and heritage plain disgusting. It would be better if they kept their sickening culture to themselves and their shit-eating friends in the USA and elsewhere, for example by serving feces and urine at the receptions of their “embassies”.

Wikileaks: a Big Dangerous US Government Con Job

A closer look at the details of what have so far been carefully leaked by the most ultra-establishment of international media such as the New York Times reveals a clear agenda. That agenda coincidentally serves to buttress the agenda of US geopolitics around the world from Iran to North Korea. The Wikileaks is a big and dangerous US intelligence Con Job which will likely be used to police the Internet.

The story on the surface makes for a script for a new Oliver Stone Hollywood thriller, perhaps with Johnny Depp playing the role of a 39-year old Australian hacker who holds the President of the United States and his State Department hostage to a gigantic cyber “leak,” unless the President backs off and leaves Julian Assange and his Wikileaks alone.


Bradley Manning

It is almost too perfectly-scripted to be true. A discontented 22-year old US Army soldier on duty in Baghdad, Bradley Manning, a low-grade US Army intelligence analyst, described as a loner, a gay in the military, a disgruntled “computer geek,” sifts through classified information at Forward Operating Base Hammer. He decides to secretly download US State Department email communications from the entire world over a period of eight months for hours a day, onto his blank CDs while pretending to be listening to Lady Gaga. In addition to diplomatic cables, Manning is believed to have providedWikiLeaks with helicopter gun camera video of an errant US attack in Baghdad on unarmed journalists, and with war logs from Iraq and Afghanistan.
Manning then is supposed to have tracked down a notorious former US computer hacker to get his 250,000 pages of classified US State Department cables out in the Internet for the whole world to see. He allegedly told the US hacker that the documents he had contained "incredible, awful things that belonged in the public domain and not on some server stored in a dark room in Washington, DC." The hacker turned him in to US authorities so the story goes. Manning is now incommunicado since months in US military confinement so we cannot ask him, conveniently. The Pentagon routinely hires the best hackers to design their security systems.
Then the plot thickens. The 250,000 pages end up at the desk of Julian Assange, the 39-year-old Australian founder of a supposedly anti-establishment website with the cute nameWikileaks. Assange decides to selectively choose several of the world’s most ultra-establishment news media to exclusively handle the leaking job for him as he seems to be on the run from Interpol, not for leaking classified information, but for allegedly having consensual sex with two Swedish women who later decided it was rape. Assange is reported on the lam in London.
He selects the New York Times which did such service in promoting faked propaganda against Saddam that led to the Iraqi war, the London Guardian and Der Spiegel. Assange claims he had no time to sift through so many pages so handed them to the trusted editors of the establishment media for them to decide what should be released. Very “anti-establishment” that… Indeed a strange choice for a person who claims to be anti-establishment. But then Assange also says he believes the US Government version of 9/11 and calls the Bilderberg Group a normal meeting of people.

Not so secret cables…
The latest sensational Wikileaks documents allegedly from the US State Departent embassies around the world to Washington are definitely not as Hillary Clinton claimed "an attack on America’s foreign policy interests that have endangered innocent people." And they do not amount to what the Italian foreign minister, called the "September 11 of world diplomacy." The British government calls them a threat to national security and an aide to Canada’s Prime Minister calls on the CIA to assassinate Assange, as does kooky would-be US Presidential hopeful Sarah Palin.
Most important, the 250000 cables are not "top secret" as we might have thought. Between two and three million US Government employees are cleared to see this level of "secret" document, [1] and some 500,000 people around the world have access to the Secret Internet Protocol Router Network (SIPRnet) where the cables were stored. SIPRnet is not recommended for distribution of top-secret information. Only 6% or 15,000 pages of the documents have been classified as even secret, a level below top-secret. Another 40% were the lowest level, "confidential", while the rest were unclassified. In brief, it was not all that secret. [2]
Most of the revelations so far have been unspectacular. In Germany the revelations led to the removal of a prominent young FDP politician close to Guido Westerwelle who apparently liked to talk too much to his counterpart at the US Embassy. The revelations about Russian politics, that a US Embassy official refers to Putin and Medvedev as “Batman and Robin,” tells more about the cultural level of current US State Department personnel than it does about internal Russian politics.
But for anyone who has studied the craft of intelligence and of disinformation, a clear pattern emerges in the Wikileaks drama. The focus is put on select US geopolitical targets, appearing as Hillary Clinton put it “to justify US sanctions against Iran.” They claim North Korea with China’s granting of free passage to Korean ships despite US State Department pleas, send dangerous missiles to Iran. Saudi Arabia’s ailing King Abdullah reportedly called Iran’s President a Hitler.

Excuse to police the Internet?
What is emerging from all the sound and Wikileaks fury in Washington is that the entire scandal is serving to advance a long-standing Obama and Bush agenda of policing the until-now free Internet. Already the US Government has shut theWikileaks server in the United States though no identifiable US law has been broken.

The process of policing the Web was well underway before the current leaks scandal. In 2009 Democratic Senator Jay Rockefeller and Republican Olympia Snowe introduced theCybersecurity Act of 2009 (S.773). It would give the President unlimited power to disconnect private-sector computers from the internet. The bill "would allow the president to ’declare a cyber-security emergency’ relating to ’non-governmental’ computer networks and do what’s necessary to respond to the threat." We can expect that now this controversial piece of legislation will get top priority when a new Republican House and the Senate convene in January.
The US Department of Homeland Security, an agency created in the political hysteria following 9/11 2001 that has been compared to the Gestapo, has already begun policing the Internet. They are quietly seizing and shutting down internet websites (web domains) without due process or a proper trial. DHS simply seizes web domains that it wants to and posts an ominous "Department of Justice" logo on the web site. See an example at http://torrent-finder.com. Over 75 websites were seized and shut in a recent week. Right now, their focus is websites that they claim "violate copyrights," yet the torrent-finder.com website that was seized by DHS contained no copyrighted content whatsoever. It was merely a search engine website that linked to destinations where people could access copyrighted content. Step by careful step freedom of speech can be taken away. Then what?

The rebuttal in particular -- interesting. By anonymous. Complaining bitterly about the lack of actual evidence that Assange made a deal with Israel.

Conclusion:

The Indybay article does not meet even the most elementary journalistic standards. Aside from being riddled with conditional adverbs like “appears” – it is basically a hack-job cobbled together by someone with vindictive and malicious motives. [EVIDENCE PLEASE? - ed.] The sources cited DO NOT corroborate the primary damaging allegations being made, i.e. that Julian Assange of Wikileaks arrived at an agreement with Israel to redact any damaging documents prior to release, let alone that he accepted secret payments from them or from the newspaper Al-Akhbar for special dispensation. The ONLY allegations that are sourced and corroorated relate to the statements of a dismissed and disgruntled Wikileaks employee who wished Wikileaks luck, and did not corroborate the damaging allegations in the Indybay article. Moreover, knowing full well that the readers who will read the Indybay article are prmarily English readers and speakers, the article links to non-English publications as sources, two in Arabic and one in German, attempting to provide legitimacy and the 'cover of ethical journalism' for its “news” reporting, DELIBERATELY further obscuring the truth.

The Anonymous Authors of this article should be very ashamed for what they have done. Whatever their motives, the ends do not justify the means.

Wikileaks are called “leaks.” Julian Assange darts from country to country, hotel to TV studio, always ahead of the security forces hunting him down, a veritable “Nordic” bin Laden.    Newspapers are peppered with photographs of a boyish face in the uniform of the American army, identified as the potential “leaker.” The 46,000 intelligence/counter-intelligence officers of the Department of Defense, supplemented by the FBI and 16 other agencies and 40 other departments, more “bodies” than currently serve in Afghanistan, we are told, are unable to rein in this “dangerous duo.”
Documents by the hundreds of thousands are leaked, upon qualified examination, showing careful screening with many documents edited and more selected out of series with careful gaps and omissions. A single non-commissioned officer, watched 24 hours a day by tens of thousands of security officers and threatened with life in prison, is an unlikely suspect. However, there has been no mention of any others nor has there been a mention of an investigation of any kind. In fact, there seems to me no attempt whatsoever to curtail these current leaks.
What does this tell us?

...The difference between “leaking” and “spying” is semantics. The goal is the same, destruction of the defense capabilities of the United States, except “spying” pays better.

The people responsible for each, particularly when they access the same systems and overcome the same roadblocks, all requiring the same physical access, are one in the same. Those who “leak” perform an identical task to those who spy. Those who leak, those who have leaked appear to be, to any reasonable person, exactly the same people who are spying now and who were supporting Pollard.
The first place we look, before new Russian, Indian, Iranian or Chinese version of the F-35 take flight or our first F-35 meets a fiery end is Israel. No Chinese or Pakistani’s or Iranians have gained by the F-35 espionage “clone” operations styled after “Wikileaks.”  Wikileaks has proven one thing, there is a major spy operation in the Pentagon with broad access. It is immune to investigation. Only political power can generate this kind of protection.
Assange is a recipient of information he likely believes is real. Our investigations prove different. The Pentagon leaks were carefully edited, thousands of reports were reconstructed and falsified and hundreds of thousands were removed as inconsistent with an unknown political agenda.  This requires full access to Pentagon computer systems, PROMIS software and hundreds of man hours.
It requires, in fact, a broad spy operation inside the Pentagon that enjoys its ability to operate with impunity.  Wikileaks carries an Israeli signature, the leaks damn only Israeli enemies, shield Israeli operations and are time to serve Israeli interests.  Hundreds of Israeli citizens work in the Pentagon. None of this should be a surprise to anyone.

The same media that worked with Assange to censor and manipulate Wikileaks for the Netanyahu government in Israel is the same media, the same outlets, the same ownership, the same management that are now pouring out threats, demands for “hanging.”

And in the meanwhile, DISTRACTION CITY.

Congress votes to give more blood and blackmail money to Israel. The U.S. media seems to be ignoring this as just business as usual but the Israeli press is jumping for joy. AIPAC gives the story a headline, thanking the lackeys they buy for pennies on the dollar.

And who knows what else we might not be noticing while all this goes on, and on, and on...?
