Cynthia McKinney Drops Bombshell in Press TV Interview

In an interview which aired on Press TV on Saturday--one day before the AIPAC conference got under way in Washington--former Georgia Congresswoman Cynthia McKinney revealed what amounts to some pretty startling news regarding the extent of the Israeli lobby's influence over Congress.

During her years in Congress, she stated, candidates for both the House and the Senate were requested to sign pledges of support for Israel, documents in which the candidate promised to vote to provide consistent levels of economic aid to the Zionist state. Refusal to sign the pledge meant no funding for the candidate's campaign.

"You make a commitment that you will vote to support the military superiority of Israel—the economic assistance that Israel wants, that you would vote to provide that," McKinney, who served in Congress from 1993-2003 and again 2005-2007, tells Press TV interviewer Marzieh Hashemi in the two-part video program below.

According to McKinney, the pledge also included a vow to support Jerusalem as the capitol of Israel.

"Every candidate for Congress at that time had a pledge, they were given a pledge to sign..." she said. "If you don't sign the pledge, you don't get money. For example, it was almost like water torture for me. My parents observed this. I would get a call and the person on the other end of the phone would say 'I want to do a fundraiser for you.' And then we would get into the planning. I would get really excited, because of course you have to have money in order to run a campaign. And then two weeks, three weeks into the planning, they would say, 'Did you sign the pledge?' And then I would say, 'No, I didn't sign the pledge.' And then my fundraiser would go kaput."

During her years in Congress, McKinney opposed U.S. involvement in foreign wars, questioned the official version of the events of 911, and introduced articles of impeachment against former President George W. Bush. Her final term in Congress came to an end after AIPAC, or the American Israel Public Affairs Committee, funneled money into the campaign of her opponent, Hank Johnson.

McKinney's comments to Press TV came on the eve of the AIPAC Policy Conference in Washington, which was addressed Sunday by President Barack Obama. Last Thursday, Obama gave a "major speech" on the Middle East in which he suggested that a basis for peace in the region might be a withdrawal by Israel to its pre-1967 borders. However, in his speech Sunday, the president, quite predictably, backtracked on the proposal—and it may well have been Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu who laid down the law to him.

"On Friday, I was joined at the White House by Prime Minister Netanyah, and we reaffirmed that fundamental truth that has guided our presidents and prime ministers for more than 60 years—that, even while we may at times disagree, as friends sometimes will, the bonds between the United States and Israel are unbreakable, and the commitment of the United States to the security of Israel is ironclad," Obama told the conference.

He also clarified what he had meant by his reference to "1967 lines with mutually agreed swaps" made in his speech Thursday. "By definition, it means that the parties themselves—Israelis and Palestinians—will negotiate a border that is different than the one that existed on June 4, 1967," he said.

McKinney was a candidate for president on the Green Party ticket in 2008. Also in 2008 she sailed aboard the Free Gaza ship Dignityas it attempted to deliver humanitarian supplies to Gaza, making a second effort to reach the blockaded territory the following year on the Spirit of Humanity. Both ships were blocked from reaching their destination by the Israeli Navy.

Her comments about the pledges required of candidates for Congress are made in the second part of the program. In the first part she discusses how her congressional district in Georgia was dismantled through a legal suit brought about with the assistance of the Anti-Defamation League.

Real Iraq War Deaths Exceed Vietnam War Numbers

Department of Veterans Affairs Reports 73 Thousand U.S. Gulf War Deaths.

More Gulf War Veterans have died than Vietnam Veterans.  This probably is news to you.  But the truth has been hidden by a technicality.  So here is the truth.

The casualties in the Vietnam War were pretty simple to understand.  If a soldier was dead from his combat tour, he was a war casualty.  There are 58,195 names recorded on the Vietnam War Memorial in Washington, DC.

But something odd has happened with the Iraq War.  The government, under the Bush administration, did something dishonest that resulted in a lie that’s persisted since the war began — and continues to this very day.  They decided to report the war deaths in Iraq only if the soldier died with his boots on the ground in a combat situation.

The actual figures have been hidden from the American public just like the returning, flag draped coffins were censored from the press.  But the figures are now available and we can only hope that the American people will be outraged when they learn how they have been misled.

According to The Department of Veterans Affairs, as of May 2007, reports in the Gulf War Veterans Information System reveal these startling numbers:

Total U.S. Military Gulf War Deaths: 73,846
* Deaths amongst Deployed: 17,847
* Deaths amongst Non-Deployed: 55,999

The stastics for non-lethal injuries are likewise staggering:

Total “Undiagnosed Illness” (UDX) claims: 14,874
Total number of disability claims filed: 1,620,906
* Disability Claims amongst Deployed: 407,911
* Disability Claims amongst Non-Deployed: 1,212,995

Percentage of combat troops that filed Disability Claims 36%

More deaths and mysery to follow…

More than 1,820 tons of radioactive nuclear waste (i.e. depleted uranium) were exploded in Iraq alone in the form of armor piercing rounds and bunker busters. The nuclear waste the U.S. has exploded in the Middle East will continue killing for hundreds of years! That’s how long these particles of radioactive dust will continue to blow around, get lodged in someone’s lungs or be ingested. Scientists calculate that there is now enough radioactive material in Iraq to wipe out a third of the world’s current population.

While we never found any WMD’s (Weapons of Mass Destruction) in Iraq, we sure made up for it by importing our own! Birth defects among Iraqi newborns are up a whopping 600% from before the war. The defects are typical of the kind produced by exposure to radioactive poisons. And these injuries are happening to the civilian population of Iraq — the people we were supposedly “liberating.”

One bubble is about to pop... and it isn't silver

We buy gold and silver as a way to protect ourselves from the TEOMSAWKI (The End Of The Monetary System As We Know It) to come.

We live in a literal financial house of cards. It is all paper. That house of cards has been in the process of collapsing since 2008. Astute market participants realize this and are buying bullion, one of the only financial assets with no counterparty risk, as a way to protect themselves from the coming storm.

Silver has more than doubled since Ben Bernanke began his high level terrorist attacks against the US dollar with "Quantitative Easing II," announced in August of last year. Silver jumped from $18 to nearly $50.

The rise in gold and silver was likely making Bernanke feel a bit uncomfortable about his "there is no inflation" story and a phone call was likely put into the COMEX. Five margin increases in rapid succession later, and the COMEX had increased initial margin requirements by a substantial 84%.

Therefore, anyone who had purchased silver futures using leverage was forced to pony up a lot more cash to maintain the position...or sell out. Since many participants lacked the necessary cash, they were forced to immediately sell their silver futures. The result was a drop in silver futures prices from near $49 to below $34 in a matter of days.

This volatile rise and fall in silver has most of the world saying that silver was in a bubble and now that bubble has popped. Those who say this don't know what a bubble is.

If you look at the silver price in US dollar terms, its recent spike does look quite parabolic, or bubble-like. However, in the context of a longer-term timeframe, silver's recent run-up doesn't seem bubble-like at all.

Check out the chart below, which details the price increase of various items since 1980. Can you spot which one of these items is in a bubble? Hint: It is not silver!



In nominal dollar terms, silver's recent rally looks parabolic and unsustainable. But when compared to other assets over the last thirty years, silver has been in a very long bear market and has done relatively nothing compared to any other assets.

And compared to the growth in US Federal Government debt, silver has underperformed by a factor of five. One bubble is about to pop... and it isn't silver.

As soon as I heard the "news" of the International Monetary Fund's (IMF) Managing Director, Dominique Strauss-Khan (DSK), having said to have raped a chambermaid in his $3,000/night New York hotel room my B.S. sensor began ticking like a geiger counter in Fukushima Prefecture.

It is, as always, sad to see how quickly so many people actually just took the Government (the police, District Attorney etc.) and the media at their word on the development.  The last thing I would ever do from any reported "news" from the Government or the media would be to actually believe it - a mindset that has served me very well in life.

Two Criminals: DSK & Obama

Many jumped on it right away and began bashing DSK as a rapist.  People seem to just lust for someone to be arrested or accused of something - true or not.

But if you put any amount of thought into this the chances that he raped a chambermaid is highly unlikely.  Besides the fact that he is 62 and would need to take a handful of viagra and quaaludes to muster up the energy to turn into a sex-depraved maniac, here's why.

First, DSK is your typical political, international banker type.  He has literally never had a real job in his life - this seems to be a prerequisite for central bankers and their ilk.  He is a socialist/communist as are most central bankers (central banking, after all, is one of the main tenets of communism).  While in school he was a member of the Union of Communist Students and up until recently was a front-runner to become the next French President with the Socialist Party.

The first thing that set-off my spidey senses was just the plain fact that the Managing Director of the IMF had been arrested for something as lowbrow as rape.  It'd be like if they announced that Ben Bernanke had just been charged with child molestation with his niece.  Or Barack Obama with selling marijuana outside of a Virginia middle school.  Not going to happen.  Bernanke or Obama could rape entire dorm rooms of girls and all that would happen is that all the girls who were raped and the witnesses to the raping would "have some accidents" and disappear.  

People at this level of the global financial elite structure don't have any problems with the law or the media unless it has been ordained from above.  They own the law and the media.

That's when I realized the next part of this.  I had been confused about a few of the things coming out of the IMF of late.  I hadn't even mentioned them in our blog because I was so confused.

The most confusing was their release about a month ago stating that the "Age of America is near its end" as the  US will be surpassed by China in the next five years in terms of GDP.

This made no sense.  The IMF and the US are practically one and the same.  Why would the IMF announce this, even if it were true?

Clearly something was going on.

Then, a few weeks later, DSK's second in command, resigned.

This all coming at a time when the US and France had found a way to ally to bomb a North African country, Libya, and DSK was the front runner to knock off the current President of France, Nicolas Sarkozy.  It should be noted, in fact, that the majority of the French public think DSK was framed.

Certainly, a lot of people seemed to have an interest in DSK suddenly becoming a raging rapist.

Sex crimes seem to be the favorite way to get rid of people causing problems for the financial elites.  They did the same with Julian Assange as we stated in "Governments Gone Wild".  With Assange causing problems for many governments  he suddenly was charged with "not using a condom when his sex partner had asked him to do so".  That sex partner, by the way, was soon discovered to be in the employ of the Israeli Mossad.  Surprise, surprise.  (here, by the way, is an excellent documentary on Wikileaks called WikiRebels)

We have no doubt, just by his position at the IMF that DSK is likely a deranged sociopath.  But they have charged him with the wrong raping.

DSK and the IMF have been raping the planet for decades as has been well documented in the book, "Confessions of an Economic Hitman".  Peter Schiff does a good job of describing what a criminal organization the IMF is in the following video:

Central banks, in and of themselves, are non-free market, criminal organizations that have been impoverishing the planet, funding every war and funnelling much of the world's wealth into the pockets of a small group of financial elite for decades.  The IMF is the king of the central banks.

Did DSK rape a chambermaid in New York?  Maybe.  Did DSK, in his role at the IMF, steal from and impoverish hundreds of millions of people?  Unquestionably.

Wake me up when he goes on trial for that
